Commerce is one of Showbest’s Richmond warehouses, used primarily for storage and fulfillment. I served as acting general contractor for the 51,229-square-foot renovation and later managed large rollouts moving finished work from the facility to stores nationwide.

The story
Commerce Road
I served as acting general contractor for the redevelopment of this 51,229-square-foot Richmond warehouse. The work did not stop when the building reopened; it became a base for storage, fulfillment, and national rollouts.
Envelope + insulation
The roof and insulation were repaired before work moved into the building.
Site + drainage
The site was excavated and graded for new drainage and access.
Loading + access
The work added four docks with levelers and seals, a rear roll-up door, new entries, and custom steel work.
Fire protection + systems
The building received new sprinkler, monitoring, and suppression systems, along with HVAC, electrical, security, and impact-protection upgrades.
Operational
The completed building reopened as one of Showbest’s working storage and fulfillment facilities—receiving, organizing, and shipping finished fixtures.
From warehouse to rollout
Commerce also became the staging point for large fulfillment programs. For one major U.S. retailer, I managed a rollout reaching 488 stores in two weeks—coordinating inventory, sequencing, and outbound delivery against a compressed schedule.
