The story
The renovation changed the plan, systems, and individual rooms, then carried that work through to a short-term rental. The most useful way to see it is room by room.
The kitchen was relocated and rebuilt with a new layout, custom millwork, and Fisher & Paykel appliances.

The bedroom moved from the original shell through new drywall and slat details to the finished room.

Demolition opened the living area for new drywall, finishes, and a cleaner connection to the rest of the plan.

The bathroom was taken back, rebuilt, and tiled as part of the house-wide plumbing and finish work.

The den was rebuilt around its opening, enclosure, and role as a flexible room within the smaller house.

A short final pass through the entry, shared rooms, bedroom, bath, utility space, and backyard.
The finished rental later became a Guest Favorite, placed in the top 10% of listings, and earned Superhost status.
